Chaplaincy – Cornet Solo with Brass Band
£30.00Josiah Walters composed this wonderful solo for cornet with brass band. It was originally commissioned in 2012 by Gregory Chaplain, principal cornet of the Carnoustie & District Youth Band at the time, and has proven to be a popular concert feature. The piece was composed to highlight the skill and virtuosity of Gregory’s playing whilst demonstrating his all round musicality with the moving lyrical elements which dominate the piece. Also available with piano accompaniment.

This arrangement was written in 2001 for Phillip McCann and was first played by him with the Hepworth Band at the 2002 Leek Music Festival in Derbyshire, England. It has also since been recorded by Eleanor Ferguson on Reflections of Freedom.
