Description
The ‘complete package’ for Fourth Book of Trumpet Solos offers a cost effective way of purchasing both the solo book and the piano accompaniment book, as well as the full set of live performance backing tracks (accompaniment with and without soloist and accompaniment at 75% to assist the player as they learn the pieces).
Following on from another 2020 release, Third Book of Trumpet Solos, this continuation in the series from John Wallace and John Miller presents an exciting collection of ‘classic’ and contemporary solos for the more developed player – aimed at players at Grades 4-6 level.
The book pulls on a widespread variety of influential composers including Gershwin, Mussorgsky, Wallace, Rimsky-Korsakov, Schumann, Sullivan, Berlioz, De Falla, Mouret and Mahler.
The piano accompaniments are a musical delight in their own right, supporting the player and enhancing performance through their sensitive crafting.
The live performance audio backing-tracks help to enhance the learning process, enabling the player to fully embrace the music in context and through the guidance of the interpretation of the works by recording soloist, Daniel de Gruchy-Lambert.
Progressively sequenced, the pieces reflect the technical and musical experience equivalent to ABRSM or Trinity College London, Grades 4-6.
Following the international success of the first two collections (First Book of Trumpet Solos and Second Book of Trumpet Solos), as well as the recently released Third Book of Trumpet Solos this new addition aims to provide further interesting and adventurous musical repertoire for the developing player.
This Fourth Book also recognises, in its sub-title, the enduring popularity of the cornet and flugelhorn in Great Britain and their renaissance in those parts of Europe and the Nordic Countries which have embraced the British Brass Band model. This solo collection is therefore an ideal compendium for all three instruments – trumpet, cornet or flugel.
The professional careers of John Wallace and John Miller collectively span more than a 100 years, and they believe this latest collection of solos will provide you, your teacher and your peers with something engaging to enjoy, practice and perform – supporting a new pathway of your musical journey.
