Description
An original concert march from Graeme Lewis-James, inspired by Rylstone Manor, its gardens and bandstand, located in the town of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight.
Rylstone Chalet, located within the gardens, is also home to the Shanklin Town Brass Band, with which Graham has a strong affinity, through his father and the band’s founder and conductor from 1993-2024, Malcolm Lewis.
Using the traditional structure of a march, Rylstone offers lots of uplifting moments, harmonious writing and full throttle pomp and circumstance. An excellent contribution to a concert programme, offering originality and interest for the audience.
