All That Glitters … is a piece designed to show the Solo Tuba in various different musical Lights. Â Scored for a small ensemble of Solo Tuba, Timpani, Piano and two percussion players, All That Glitters… was originally written to be played as part of a university graduation recital.
Although written in a contemporary style and using the full range of the Tuba, it does not make as many demands in terms of stamina as much of the modern repertoire. Â This, together with the unusual and colourful scoring, make it an ideal piece when placed between more conventional works.
Scoring: Solo Tuba, Piano, 2 Percussionists and Timpani.
Difficulty Guide: Suitable for intermediate & Advanced Tuba players.
