Tim comments:
This is a lively, exciting and beautiful piece originally composed by John Holliday, a forgotten man.  Holliday was a 19th/20th century light music composer who was played extensively before British light music faded from it’s former glory.
The original of this piece is subtitled Easter Monday.  It celebrates those days gone by when public parks became a hive of activity during any public holiday.  The sun was shining, there were stalls and bazaars, bands and entertainers.
I am sure that I can hear a hint in this piece that there was a Scottish piper on Hampstead Heath that day as well.
Enjoy!
