 | Music Company Sponsors Europeans 2008 Once again The Music Company was an official sponsor of the European Brass Band Championships and was delighted to support the Performers' Choice Award for the Conductor's Contest.
We offer our congratulations to Armin Renggli from Switzerland who was presented with the award banner after receiving the accompanying band's vote for his conducting skills during the competition.

 | Grimethorpe Performs "Welsh Echoes" The new release, Welsh Echoes by Andrew Duncan was well received by band and audience alike at a concert in Wellingborough in April, performed by the world-famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band.
The piece features 3 superb Welsh folk songs and cleverly entwines them with a feature for the Principal cornet with a beautifully scored version of David of the White Rock.
The audience gave a very warm response, not least for the stunning performance the band itself made of the piece. It's a great new addition to the the brass band repertoire and Grimethorpe's rendition definitely establishes it as an ideal piece to freshen up your concert programme, whether you have celtic links or not! |

 | The Music Company Re-Dresses TP Music Titles Following the distribution developments between The Music Company and TPMusic, we are now delighted to inform you that all TP Music titles are being re-dressed and will now be produced in-house by us.
TP Music will continue to thrive in its own right and Tim Paton will still be writing the music that so many of you have already enjoyed. This move will simply enable The Music Company to turn customer orders around more quickly and meet the higher volumes demanded from our network of trade customers.

| | New Release Silverado Gets US Approval! Following its recent release, Silverado has gained transatlantic acclaim!
Arranged by Gareth Green, Silverado is a fine work of film music originally composed by Bruce Broughton. With Gareth's skillful transcription techniques, he has captured the sounds of the original and nurtured them through a transition that has produced a work ideal for brass band.
The Brass Band of Battle Creek were already in discussions with The Music Company regarding items for their concert in Florida which took place in early March. It was with great pleasure to suggest Silverado as another new release for them to consider. So taken were the band with the quality and style of the arrangement that it generated a special 'thank you' being offered by the band's manager, Jim Gray, direct to Gareth Green
The piece offers excitement, romance and tenderness and a rousing close. Ideal for 1st Section bands upwards and has proven to be a real hit with the audiences that have had the benefit of its performances so far.
